Our BBQ Team is focused on learning the culinary art of smoking meat over open fire. We get together periodically to practice and sample each other’s work, in addition to trying new types of smokers, pits, and equipment. We also trek to BBQ establishments and events far and wide looking to bolster our skills.
We attended both the Unbroken Spring and Flipside regional burns in 2018 as part of our Houpla theme camp, serving smoked chicken to attendees. We’re now turning to learning how to properly smoke brisket using a wood-burning offset smoker in the traditional Central Texas style.
